Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan made the following statement regarding 2018 candidate qualifying:

“Sixty percent of all partisan elected offices in Alabama are Republican. The majority of all office categories, including county offices, are also held by Republicans except one – coroner. We expect a very good year in our state this November. We have a deep bench of motivated conservative candidates that our voters will choose in our June 5 primary and on November 6 in the general election. Our message of delivering on tax cuts, strengthening our borders and slashing business regulations – both nationally and statewide, is a platform we are proud to highlight and share. Our policies benefit and strengthen Sweet Home Alabama.”

“We encourage everyone to get to know your candidates and where they stand on issues. Their information can be found on the qualified candidates page at ALGOP.org.
