Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl released the following statement following the passage of Constitutional Carry in Alabama:
“The Alabama Republican Party is committed to defending people’s conditional rights. Supporting the Second Amendment is an important part of our Party’s platform, and we have long been advocates for Constitutional Carry. No Alabamian should be charged a fee for exercising their constitutional right. We’d like to thank the bill’s sponsor – Rep. Shane Stringer – for his hard work, House and Senate leaders for making this a legislative priority, and Governor Kay Ivey for signing this measure into law.
“At a time when the Biden Administration seems determined to destroy our rights and freedoms, we are extremely grateful to Alabama’s Republican majority for defending our rights.”
