Governor Robert Bentley Observes First Anniversary of Tornado Outbreak in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Governor Robert Bentley will begin a week-long series of stops across the state re-visiting some of the communities hardest hit in the deadly tornado outbreak of April 27, 2011.  Focusing on the long-term recovery of storm survivors, Governor Bentley on Monday will visit a Pleasant Grove family of six who are in the process of rebuilding their home which was destroyed in the tornadoes last year.

The Governor will also attend the Commemoration Kickoff Service at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pratt City. The service begins a week of events in Pratt City observing the tornado anniversary.
