NOTE: Candidates who already qualified for one of these congressional races during the regular January 2026 qualifying period are automatically qualified for the Special Primary Election and are not required to qualify again.
Any candidate wishing to withdraw from consideration for the Special Primary Election must notify ALGOP Chief of Staff Shannon Whitt in writing by 5:00 p.m. today at shannon@algop.org.
First-time candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives this election cycle are required to fill out the qualifying form and pay the qualifying fee. All qualifying fees are non-refundable.

- Complete and return the Declaration of Candidacy form and qualifying fee to ALGOP.
- Submitting your online qualification form serves as your signature and acknowledgment that you have fully read and understand its contents.
- Visit the Federal Election Commission (FEC) website for required federal documentation and reporting.

- Consult with legal counsel to ensure full compliance with election laws.
- Review all pre-election reporting deadlines and file campaign finance reports as required.
