The Marion County Republican Executive Committee recently welcomed three former Democrat elected officials to the ALGOP: Sheriff Kevin Williams, Revenue Commissioner Barbara Cooper and Marion County Commissioner Bob Burleson.
Marion County Republican Party Chairman David Hall made the following statement regarding the new Party members:
“The Marion County Republican Executive Committee is delighted to welcome Sheriff Kevin Williams, Revenue Commissioner Barbara Cooper and Marion County Commissioner Bob Burleson to the Republican Party. We look forward to working alongside them as we champion our Party’s conservative polices. These new Republican members join a record-breaking group of GOP elected officials in Alabama.”
