Last Friday, delegates from Girls State visited the office of Secretary of State Beth Chapman. They were told about the numerous roles of the secretary of state, including elections and business services.
“It is wonderful when those in government have the opportunity to share their experiences with people who are interested in what we do,” said Secretary of State Beth Chapman. “The delegates from Girls State are a prime example of the younger generation taking initiative to become tomorrow’s leaders.”
The delegates also visited Governor Robert Bentley and other constitutional officers during their visit.
