Republicans love to support the men and women of our military and I have a great opportunity for us to do so. 
The Support our Soldiers Foundation was started by Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Rivers, Sr. in memory of their son, Marine Lance Cpl. Thomas Rivers, Jr. who died in Afghanistan at age 21.
The group sends care packages to our troops overseas every single month. The items they need donated are as follows: 72” brown or black shoe strings, candy bars, travel-size packages of wet/baby wipes, toothbrushes and paste, chewing gum, beef jerky, hard candy and magazines of trucks, cars, outdoors activities, hunting, etc.
Please support Dr. and Mrs. Rivers in their efforts to encourage and support our troops still serving overseas.
You can bring any of these items to the state Republican Party Winter Dinner in Birmingham, and I will be happy to collect them there. Your donation will be greatly appreciated!
