Hot in Cleveland!

It’s been a long seven plus years with Barack Obama in the White House. America is worn out from his liberal policies, invasive executive orders and his belief that America has a lot of apologizing to do to the world. The Republican Party has been through a grueling process as we have inched toward the Republican National Convention, July 18 – 21. We started out with 17 of the strongest candidates we have seen in our lifetime.

We are now down to one…Donald J. Trump. The Republicans across our nation have spoken- not a handful of people, a backroom group, a made up “establishment”, or the media. We are watching a phenomenon—record breaking primaries in every state, including Alabama. We saw a massive number of over 860,000 Republicans in the Alabama primary on March 1, 2016. In contrast, the Democrats voted around 395,000 in their primary.

ALGOP Delegation Facts

Wow…860,000 plus Republican voters in Alabama a few months ago.

The Alabama Republican Party is stronger than ever.  Our people are good conservatives who reject the liberal politics of the Democrats. As a reminder, local and state Alabama Democrat candidates pledge their allegiance to the DNC platform. Their platform, blessed by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, is clearly rejected by citizens across our state.

ALGOP Chairman Terry Lathan welcomes Donald Trump to Birmingham in January 2016. Chairman Lathan met with every presidential candidate or their representatives that visited in Alabama during the ALGOP primary process.

All eyes will be on Cleveland in July as we nominate Donald Trump as our presidential candidate to battle with Hillary Clinton. Is there any question that a Clinton win would be an extended Obama term?  Is there any question what type of Supreme Court justices she would choose?

Our country is hanging by a thread—a sluggish economy, liberal courts and Democrats trying to impose their will on us and grow the government. We can stop this if America puts the brakes on the hard left turn we have taken under the Obama/Clinton regime. We’ve had enough and we are going to take our nation back. Mr. Trump will take our fight to the Democrats!

In Cleveland, the Alabama GOP delegation will be led by U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions. We are honored to have Senator Sessions speak for us and lead us at our convention.

As they say in Cleveland
ROCK ON!
