Jeff Session is running for his fourth term in the U.S. Senate. During his last election in 2008, the people of Alabama overwhelming voted to re-elect him. More votes were cast for Sessions than any Republican in Alabama history!
Senator Sessions is connected to the people of Alabama. He travels to town meetings in all 67 counties every year to ensure his availability to the people and to give them an opportunity to voice their concerns.
As a United States Senator, Sessions has focused his energies on maintaining a strong military, upholding the rule of law, limiting the role of government and providing tax relief to stimulate economic growth and empowering Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money.
Senator Sessions serves as the Ranking Member on the Senate Budget Committee to restrain the growth of federal spending and make permanent tax cuts that benefit American families. As a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sessions is a leading advocate of confirming federal judges who follow the law and do not legislate from the bench.
He also serves as Ranking Member of the Judiciary Administrative Oversight and the Courts Subcommittee. As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sessions is a strong advocate for America’s military, including the four major defense installations in Alabama – Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville; Fort Rucker, near Ozark; Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery; and the Anniston Army Depot.
There is no doubt that the people of Alabama are proud of their senator and look forward to another six years under his protection.
Governor Robert Bentley is running for re-election with a determination to continue to lead Alabama into prosperity. First elected to the governor’s office in 2010, Governor Robert Bentley immediately went to work creating good-paying jobs for the people of Alabama.
“Opportunity is being found in over 50-thousand new, future Alabama jobs that have been created since I became your Governor. These are the higher-paying, higher-skilled jobs that offer families a steady income, not just a wage. These are jobs that are waiting to be filled in brand new manufacturing plants being built as we speak. Alabama has seen remarkable job growth since I took office in 2011. Companies across the globe have invested over $5-billion dollars in our state.”
In his first three years in office, Alabama gained nearly 60,000 jobs. In addition, Governor Bentley has recruited over 40,000 new, future jobs, many of which have yet to go online as new facilities are being constructed. Alabama’s manufacturing sector has grown under Governor Bentley with great gains in the automotive and aerospace industry. Governor Bentley has worked to recruit Airbus to build in Mobile, Remington Arms to expand in Huntsville, Wrangler Distribution to rebuild in Hackleburg and many more. Last year he announced that his administration had saved taxpayers a billion dollars by streamlining the state government.
Governor Bentley has stayed committed to his promises and has elevated Alabama economically and socially. He has worked with our Republican led legislature to promote real change in Alabama. They accomplished so many goals the last four years; imagine what they can do in the next four.
