Last week, the Alabama Republican Party welcomed nine former Democrat elected officials to the ALGOP.
Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan made the following statement regarding the new ALGOP Party members:
“The Alabama Republican Party is excited to welcome nine new elected officials to our team. We look forward to strengthening our counties and state through conservative ideals and policies with their involvement in the Republican Party.”
Randolph County Republican Party Chairman Sid Hare made the following statement regarding the new Randolph County Republican Party members:
“Randolph County is proud to welcome these seven former Democrats to the Republican Party. I especially want to thank Representative Bob Fincher and Mr. Sam Carpenter for all the hard work they did to help bring these new members into the party.”
Cherokee County Republican Party Chairman Josh Summerford made the following statement regarding the new Cherokee County Republican Party members:
“Cherokee County is very fortunate to have Jeff Shaver and Dwayne Amos serving our county in their respectful roles. Both Sheriff Shaver and Clerk Amos are men of integrity and display great professionalism in their offices. The Cherokee County Republican Party is very excited that both of these conservatives are now officially part of the GOP.”
The nine new members are:
Billy “Stump” Lane – Randolph County School Board District Four
John Dwight Hall – Randolph County School Board District Three
Pam Taylor- Randolph County Revenue Commissioner
George Diamond – Randolph County Judge of Probate
Chris May – Randolph County Circuit Clerk
David Cofield – Randolph County Sheriff
Terry Sparks – Randolph County Coroner
Jeff Shavers – Cherokee County Sheriff
Dwayne Amos – Cherokee County Circuit Clerk
