The Alabama Republican Party is proud to announce Dr. Alveda King will be its keynote speaker at the 2022 ALGOP Winter Dinner on Friday, February 18th at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel.
Dr. King is the daughter of the late civil rights activist Rev. A.D. King and a niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A civil rights activist in her own right, she is currently a minister and advocate for the unborn, working through her Alveda King Ministries and Priests for Life. Dr. King is the author of several best-selling books and a Fox News Contributor.
“We are incredibly blessed Dr. King accepted our invitation to come speak at our Winter Dinner. I have long been an admirer of her work, which speaks to our Party platform of ‘equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all’, as well as the ‘sanctity of all human life’. Our members are excited to hear from Dr. King, as we remember the work and sacrifices of her entire family during this Black History Month,” said Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl.
Dr. King will be signing books and have some available for purchase.
