On Wednesday, the Alabama House Republican Caucus voted to elect State Rep. Nathaniel Ledbetter to serve as House Majority Leader and State Rep. Connie Rowe as vice chair.
Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan issued the following statement regarding the new leadership:
“The Alabama Republican Party congratulates House Majority Leader Nathaniel Ledbetter and Vice Chair Connie Rowe on being elected to their new leadership positions.”
“Majority Leader Ledbetter has valuable experience as a former mayor, a current small business owner and a member of committees in the Alabama House of Representatives. With this impressive record, I have no doubt that he will excel in this new role.”
“A former police chief, investigator and now also a member of committees in the Alabama House of Representatives, Vice Chair Connie Rowe has experience that has prepared her for this new responsibility. The first woman to ever serve in a leadership position, she will be a strong asset to our state.”
