ALGOP Statement Congratulating GOP US Senate Nominee Roy Moore

Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan made the following statement congratulating GOP U.S. Senate nominee Roy Moore:
“Congratulations to Judge Roy Moore on his victory as the Republican nominee for the United States Senate. The GOP voters have spoken and made their choice clear in this election. The Alabama Republican Party fully supports Roy Moore as our U.S. Senate nominee. We will put our full forces and large infrastructure behind Judge Moore as we focus on winning the general election. The seat that Jeff Sessions held so honorably for twenty years will continue to be a Republican seat.”
“Judge Moore will be a conservative vote for Alabama and will strongly support President Trump’s agenda to Make America Great Again. Our state has time and time again rejected the liberal policies and views the Alabama Democrat Party’s nominee embraces. His allegiance to his Party’s progressive platform are not remotely compatible with Alabama citizens and their beliefs. His caucus team will be self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Schumer. These far left-leaning liberals do not mirror Alabama values. On December 12, our voters will affirm their commitment to Republican principles when they seat Roy Moore as Alabama’s next U.S. Senator.”
“Current U.S. Senator Luther Strange has been a strong supporter of the ALGOP and our conservative causes. We publicly thank him for his service to our state and nation as well as honor his family for their support. Just as our voters came together after the presidential primary to elect President Trump, we will now do the same and unite to elect Roy Moore as our United States Senator. We are confident that Alabama Republicans will come together for the big picture win on December 12.”
