ALGOP County Parties Welcome New Elected Officials
Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan made the following statement regarding new ALGOP elected officials:

Walker County Republican Party Welcomes a New Elected Official
The Walker County GOP recently welcomed former Democrat Bill Ed Gilbert as a member of the Republican Party.

Lawrence County Republican Party Welcomes a New Elected Official
The Lawrence County GOP recently welcomed former Democrat School Board Member Gary Bradford as a member of the Republican Party.

Colbert County Republican Party Welcomes a New Elected Official
Governor Kay Ivey recently appointed William Smith to the Colbert County Commission.
Colbert County Republican Party Chairman Fred Joly made the following statement regarding the new GOP member:

Governor Kay Ivey Appoints Republican Michael Anderton as Jefferson County District Attorney
Governor Ivey recently appointed Michael Anderton as District Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit.
Governor Ivey made the following statement regarding the appointment:
“I am proud to appoint Mike Anderton as Jefferson County District Attorney. Out of all the applicants, Mike had the most experience, and I know he will work effectively, and with integrity, for the people of Birmingham and all of Jefferson County.”
