The Alabama Republican Party closed candidate qualifying for Alabama House of Representatives District 79 on Thursday, July 14 at 5:00 p.m. CDT.
The following individuals qualified to run for the District 79 seat:
Jay Conner, Joe Lovvorn, Brett Smith and Sandy Toomer.
The election will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. If needed, a runoff election will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
The last day to register to vote is Monday, August 29, 2016.
