Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan issued the following statement following today’s procedural vote in the U.S. House of Representatives:
“While the results of today’s impeachment procedural vote come as a shock to no one, it is yet another reminder of the partisan sham the Democrats are operating in their ludicrous attempt to undo the will of the American people in the 2016 election at any cost. They are telling the people they know better and we are irrelevant.
“I encourage all Alabamians who see through this charade to reach out to our Republican congressional delegation and offer words of support and encouragement. This fine group of public servants have been doing the right thing-standing up to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Adam Schiff and their short sighted shenanigans. We applaud our GOP members’ efforts.”
