The Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan issued the following statement concerning today’s impeachment vote by the U.S. House of Representatives:
“With a week to go until the Inauguration of a new American president, the wrath of the Democrat Party against President Donald Trump continues. Joe Biden’s inaugural theme is ‘America United’. However, the impeachment vote is the opposite of bringing people together. Joe Biden’s theme of unity doesn’t remotely match their actions. Instead of concentrating on a new chapter of our nation’s future, they are determined to continue their angry vendetta against President Trump. History will show their motives to be petty and destructive to our country.
“We are grateful to the Alabama members of the U.S. House of Representatives that clearly recognize these divisive, retaliatory actions and voted to stop this continued dissension: Congressman Jerry Carl, Congressman Barry Moore, Congressman Mike Rogers, Congressman Robert Aderholt, Congressman Mo Brooks and Congressman Gary Palmer.
“Let us remain resolute in our support of conservative issues for our nation and having our voices heard; however, we must not continue to divide America the Beautiful. Instead, let us remain united in our desire to make America greater.”
