ALGOP Chairman Co-Sponsors RNC Resolution to Censure Cheney, Kinzinger

(Salt Lake City, UT) Today, Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl has joined Maryland Republican Committeeman Dave Bossie and Wyoming GOP Chairman Frank Eathorne in co-sponsoring a resolution to censure U.S. Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger at the Republican National Committee Winter Meeting. The meeting is taking place this week in Salt Lake City, UT.

“Congresswoman Cheney continues to show no remorse for voting to impeach President Trump – not only against the wishes of her constituents in Wyoming, but also against Republican voters across America including Alabama. That in itself is disappointing. However, when she continues to give interviews to the media a year later, doubling down on socialist Democrat talking points against the President, it’s time for our Party to call her out and let her know we won’t stand for it any longer,” said Chairman Wahl.

The Alabama Republican Party sponsored its own resolution against Cheney during its 2021 Winter Meeting, calling for her to be removed as House Republican Conference Chair.

“This is an important issue to Alabama’s Republican voters. The ALGOP State Executive Committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of removing her as Conference Chair. I’m proud to represent the members of the Alabama Republican Party on the RNC, and also proud to stand with my fellow chairmen, as we work to Restore America and take back the U.S. House and Senate,” Chairman Wahl continued.

This issue has gained national attention with the meeting this week. The full Committee will vote on the resolution on Friday.

Chairman Wahl is available for interviews from the meeting in Salt Lake City, UT.
