The special runoff election for House District 5 officially ended at 7 p.m. CST December 8, 2015.
The Alabama House District 5 seat became open following the death of Representative Dan Williams (R-Athens) in July 2015.
Results of the special runoff election:
Danny F. Crawford: 1,713 (54.5%)
Chris Seibert: 1,430 (45.5%)
After all provisional ballots are counted Mr. Crawford will be certified with the Secretary of State to appear on the ballot for the special general election for House District 5. This election will be held on February 16, 2015.
