The Alabama Republican Party has set qualifying dates for the special election in Alabama House District 78. Information on the qualifying process is available on the ALGOP website (www.algop.org).
Qualifying will open on-line at www.algop.org on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. CST. It will close on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. CST, per the proclamation issued by Governor Kay Ivey.

Anyone needing to qualify in-person may do so at Alabama Republican Party headquarters (3505 Lorna Road, Hoover, AL 35216). The office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST.
House District 78 is located in Montgomery County.
The Special Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. If a run off election is needed, it will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The general election will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
