ALGOP State Executive Committee Passes Resolutions in Support of Judge Roy Moore, Small Businesses

On Saturday, May 21, 2016 the Alabama Republican Party met in a special called meeting to elect alternate delegates to the Republican National Convention.

The following two resolutions were passed:

Resolution No. 2016-13

Resolution of the Alabama Republican Party in Opposition to the Removal of Chief Justice Roy Moore

This resolution states that the Alabama Republican Party supports Judge Roy Moore and asks the Alabama State Legislature to pass legal changes that would prevent the political removal of statewide elected officials, unless done so by the elected legislature of the state.

Resolution No 2016-14

Resolution To Recognize Small Business Owner Appreciation Day As The Last Saturday of August Annually In Alabama

This resolution urges the Alabama State Legislature to recognize small businesses in a day of appreciation on the last Saturday in August.
