Senator Williams received his BS degree from the University of South Alabama, and his JD from the Birmingham School of Law. He is also an Airborne Ranger and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army

Reserve. Senator Williams is an attorney with his own law firm, Williams and Associates in Gadsden, as well as the COO and chief counsel for Tax Break.
