Meet our Mobile County Commission candidate, Mr. Jerry Carl!A Mobile native, Jerry Carl graduated from Sylacauga High School in 1977, and then attended Lake City Community College, in Lake City, Florida, until 1978, when he decided to enter the workforce.Jerry is no stranger to hard work. His first full time employment was working for Alabama Power, before he returned to Mobile to work for the Burford Equipment Company. He then worked as a salesman for various companies for the next nine years. He then took the opportunity and responsibility of starting his own home healthcare equipment business, Stat Medical, in 1989.Jerry was able to expand his business into seven different locations, until he sold to the business to Rotech Medical.  He then continued in his role as a businessman and manager, overseeing more than thirty locations as a regional manager for Rotech Medical. Jerry then went on to form Westside Development, a business establishment located in West Mobile, in 1997.

In 1998, Jerry expanded his business ventures to include establishing Advance, LLC, which builds and leases commercial properties, as well as River Oaks Landing, LLC, which later became home to the River Oaks Landing Bed and Breakfast. In 2002, Jerry began Carl and Associates, a management group and in 2003, Jerry started in yet another direction, opening ECM Home Health Services, a pharmacy specializing in the care of patients with bleeding disorders. His most recent venture began in 2009, when he established Cricket and Butterfly, LLC, a company dedicated to buying and selling timber and timberland.

Jerry is married to Tina, his lovely bride of thirty years. In June 2008, Jerry sent his son, Dallas, off to become a Marine, the hardest thing he’s ever had to do. In addition to his son Dallas, Jerry and Tina have a daughter named Sarah, who is a graduate of Faith Academy, and now is a “Dixie Darling” at the University of Southern Mississippi.
