Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan made the following statement regarding the RNC’s continued support for Roy Moore for U.S. Senate:
“The Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel, has contacted us and confirmed that the RNC is transferring funds to the Alabama Republican Party for the Roy Moore campaign for the December 12 U.S. Senate election. We are grateful for the RNC’s partnership with the ALGOP in this race. We are also thankful for President Trump’s recent show of support in highlighting the major policy differences between the left-wing Democrat, Doug Jones, and the constitutional conservative, Republican Roy Moore.”
“Alabama, one of the most conservative states in the nation, does not intend to send a liberal obstructionist to Washington to fight against President Trump’s agenda. Doug Jones will not ‘reach across the aisle’; not one Democrat is doing that now and neither will Mr. Jones.”
“America and President Trump need Alabama’s conservative voice in the United States Senate. It is up to Alabamians to continue to help the president Make America Great Again by voting on December 12.”
