Nikki Carey-Nicholson is 29 years old and is from Grand Bay, Alabama. Nikki became politically involved in high school by helping with a mock election of the 2000 Presidential elections with over 90% of the school voting for George W. Bush. Nikki was a member of the College Republicans and became one of the nation’s youngest Tea Party organizers for the 2009 Tax Day Tea Party in Mobile. Nikki is currently the Chair of the Mobile County Young Republicans and has served as the Vice-Chair, Secretary, State Committee Woman, and Special Events Coordinator for the Mobile YRs.
She is the current Young Republican National Federation Social Media Chair 2010-present, and Co-chair of the YRNF Education Committee. Nikki helped organize and implement the YRNF Site Selection Committee visit for the 2013 Young Republican National Convention Bid and will chair the 2013 YR National Convention to be held in Mobile.
Nikki served as a delegate to the 2009 Young Republican National Convention in Indianapolis, IN and the 2011 Young Republican National Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is the Events Committee Chair for Smart Girl Politics, a conservative women’s organization with over 30,000 members nationwide and was featured in their Next Generation Series in their magazine. Nikki served as the YR Representative for the Byrne for Governor Campaign specializing in GOTV, blogging, and Social Media. Nikki is a frequent guest host for The Uncle Henry Talk Radio 710AM Show in Mobile and has been on the Wayne and Sean Show as well as others across the country.
Nikki is a current member of the Mobile County Republican Executive Committee as well as the MCREC Steering Committee representing the Mobile YRs and was recently Communications Director for Rick Perry’s Presidential Campaign Team in Alabama.
Nikki studied nursing and broadcast journalism at Troy University and The University of South Alabama. She has worked at a local hospital for the past 7 years. Nikki currently lives in Mobile and spends her time with family and friends, working, traveling and being actively involved with the Baldwin County United Way Young Leader’s Society when not working for the Republican Party’s platform and agenda.
