ALGOP Chairman Says Farrakhan Perfect Match for Alabama Democrats

921445889_alg_louis_farrakhan_jpg_xlarge-1Birmingham, AL – Alabama Republican Party Chairman Bill Armistead has called Louis Farrakhan, Head of the Nation of Islam, a perfect match for the Alabama Democratic Party. Armistead made the statement upon hearing that Farrakhan will be joining leaders of the Alabama Democratic Party (ALDEM) as they caravan across Alabama next week.

ALDEM has been without a chairman for just over 50 days now, and Interim Chairwoman Nancy Worley has announced that she is having trouble finding anyone interested in the job. “I knew that the Alabama Democrat Party was having trouble finding a leader for their party and maybe they have found their leader in Farrakhan, who is the Head of the National of Islam’. This is the second time in just 15 months that Farrakhan has come to Alabama on behalf of the Alabama Democrat Party Farrakhan was the guest of the Alabama A & M Democrats last March.

Armistead said “The old saying that birds of a feather flock together is true. The Alabama Democrats are bringing in radical Farrakhan and ALGOP is bringing in Conservative reformer Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker this summer. I believe that Alabamians will relate to Gov. Walker much more than they will Louis Farrakhan”

Chairman Armistead added, “It is really no surprise to me that Alabama Democrat leaders Joe Reed, Sen. Hank Sanders and Sanders’ wife Faya Ora Rose Toure will be joining forces with this hateful and radical figure as they participate in a caravan crisscrossing Alabama. The Alabama Democratic Party has really outdone itself this time and is showing its true colors as they once again embrace Louis Farrakhan. The only thing that can top the love affair they have with Farrakhan is to name him the new Chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party.”

Farrakhan is known for his hate speech against the Jewish population and state of Israel, earning him the title of anti-Semite from the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery. Farrakhan is on record saying “The Jews don’t like Farrakhan, so they call me Hitler. Well, that’s a good name. Hitler was a very great man. He rose Germany up from the ashes.*”

Farrakhan has also made incendiary comments about others groups of people, saying that “The white man is our mortal enemy, and we cannot accept him. I will fight to see that vicious beast go down into the lake of fire prepared for him from the beginning, that he never rise again to give any innocent black man, woman or child the hell that he has delighted in pouring on us for 400 years.”*

The Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee have both condemned the remarks by Farrakhan as hateful and extremist.
