Democrat Party Chairman Nancy Worley Tells Voters to Use Their Brain

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Alabama Republican Party Chairman Bill Armistead called out Nancy Worley, Chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party, for insinuating that Alabama voters do not use their brains when voting. When questioned by a reporter from AL.com concerning the Alabama Republican Party’s outreach to black Republicans, Ms. Worley said, “If white people or any other ethnic group would use their brains and examine the platforms of the two parties, they would see the Democratic platform is more in keeping with their interests.”

“If Nancy Worley and the Alabama Democratic Party would use their brains, they would quickly understand why voters in Alabama rejected them in record numbers on November 4,” Armistead replied. “Voters overwhelmingly rejected Ms. Worley and the Alabama Democratic Party two weeks ago, when Republicans won every statewide race in Alabama by large margins, increased their majorities in both the House and Senate and elected scores of Republicans at the local level. Voters even rejected the ‘darling of the Alabama Democratic Party’ when Republican candidate Dr. Larry Stutts defeated long time Democrat Senator Roger Bedford. Sen. Bedford had not only been in the senate for over three decades, but he was the Democratic Senate Leader,” Armistead continued.

“Democrats like Nancy Worley and Obama healthcare advisor, MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber, have revealed the Democratic Party’s true feelings about voters. Last week a video surfaced where Gruber said that ObamaCare passed due to the ‘stupidity of the American voter’. Gruber calls voters ‘stupid’ and Worley says voters don’t use their brains. It is not only the failed policies of the Democratic Party that has caused Alabamians to reject and flee from Democrats in droves, but also the attitudes toward voters displayed by Worley and Gruber.

“Ms. Worley may have been a school teacher for many years, but she apparently didn’t major in math,” Armistead said. “If she just had a basic understanding of addition and subtraction, she could easily calculate that the math just doesn’t add up for Democrats in Alabama. Over two thirds of voters in Alabama voted against the Democratic candidates running for statewide office two weeks ago. If I were Ms. Worley, I don’t think I would be lecturing voters on using their brains,” Armistead concluded.
