If you live in Alabama, you probably know Britney Garner. This outgoing and passionate woman has a reputation of never forgetting a face, and has been one of the most integral parts of the Alabama Republican Party for the last four years. Last week, however, Britney closed her chapter at ALGOP and began a new one as the Alabama Government Relations Director with the Greater Southern Affiliate of the American Heart Association.
Our farewell to her is bittersweet, but we are proud of her and wish her the best in what is sure to be a long and successful career. Britney’s passion for politics and a talent for public relations served her well during her time at ALGOP, and we are confident it will continue to do the same for her in the future.
During her time at ALGOP Headquarters, Britney served as Finance Director and, most recently, as Political Director. She has planned numerous Summer and Winter Dinners, coordinated the Alabama Delegation to the 2012 Republican National Convention and a great many grassroots events throughout the state.
It was under her guidance as Political Director, that the Alabama Republican Party achieved historical successes in this year’s election. She worked closely with candidates and county chairmen to ensure Republican victories; which included a sweep of all statewide offices, expanded majorities in both the state House and Senate and numerous local races.
A true asset to Alabama politics, Britney Garner will be tremendously missed at headquarters. We hope you all join us in thanking her for her service and wishing her the best!
